Dandelion1 19 x 19 inches December 2001 (Marcel Gallery, Miami beach)

Notes:
The wind of inspiration has blown again, this time through the puffy dandelion snowball.  Wiggling gently under my parachute, I left Miami and have settled in Normandy's greener pastures.  Thus, it is as a natural vicissitude and without any conscious effort, that my paintings which had been almost entirely tropical blue are in no time at all becoming green, almost to saturation. The bright yellow flowers - the latest to be seen in this time of the year - are intensively moving. I had the same febrile excitation to paint them promptly as I had with the poppies in July  (see this page)

This large painting, Dandelion2, Acrylic on canvas, 59 x 59" is actually in display in my new studio in Saint Clair Sur Epte, France.( registered as "dentsdelion1" in the gallery catalogue, at www.marcelart.com/gallery/4/sale/index.htm )

The latest of my beloved heart paintings series. I have already received numerous requests about a print of this image. I am still making some other Dandelion studies in this perspective, so maybe I'll have a print next year. Meanwhile, Valentine's Day 2002 is coming soon, so allow me to introduce you (shamelessly) to my actual collection of hearts prints and original art.
