In my shop, a discreet curtain effect

 
Painted Curtain at a Mobalpa Showroom

Although I would not call this large piece as a trompe l'oeil, the effect on this exterior wall near the swimming pool is realistic enough to confuse many an unsuspecting guest.  The barbecue grill was installed at the bottom of this wall, barring access to this painted vista. Note that the scene features large "fruits" (basketballs, football and hockey accessories, given that the client is an executive for the Miami Heat and other Miami area sports teams.
